?The emptiest of houses:

?Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه said:

❝The emptiest of houses are those which are empty (free) from the (recitation of the) Book of Allaah.❞

?Shaikh Abdul Razzaaq al-Badr said:

❝Meaning: the houses with the least good and blessings in them are those houses in which the Book of Allaah is rarely recited. This effaces the blessing from the house, and motivates (invites) the Shayaateen towards it.❞

?Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه used to say:
❝The house - which is expanded for its inhabitants (even if it's small in size), and which is visited by the Angels, and from which the Shayaateen flee, and who's goodness is increased - is the one in which the Qur’aan is recited.

And the house - which is constricted for its inhabitants (irrespective of its big size), and from which the Angels flee, and which is visited by the Shayaateen, and who's goodness is decreased - is the one in which the Qur’aan is not recited.❞

? [Sunan al-Daarimee (3309)]
